Three words you’d use to describe your city

Peaceful. Joyful. Healing.

What’s your favorite local cafe or coffee shop and why?

My go-to-place for coffee is Balzac’s on Lock Street. I always grab a cup of black coffee early in the morning after my run and sit at the benches over looking Lake Ontario. It is one of the most peaceful moments of my day.

You’ve got a dog lover visiting, where do you go?

Unfortunately, I don’t own a dog though I love them very much. If I had a dog, I would definitely jog with him/her along the many beautiful Port Dalhousie trails.

You need a get-away-from it all escape, where do you go and why?

My get-away-from it all escape is meditating on the rocks along the lake. The flowing water induces a deep state of relaxation which instantly takes me to my “happy place.”

A foodie fanatic is visiting, where do you take them and what will you order?

If a foodie fanatic is coming to visit for brunch, I’ll take them to Rosie’s Cafe for sure! It’s a warm, friendly atmosphere, delivering delicious meals that have you leaving with a satisfied belly and a huge smile on your face.

You’re filling a gift bag that showcases 3 – 5 of your favorite local goods, what do you include?

If I was filling a gift bag with items from Port Dalhousie, I’d filled it with the best coffee beans from Balzacs, a selection of local artisan creations from “The Local Life” and something fun from “Your Boutique.”

City explorers unite! Where would you take a visitor if you only had 3 hours to show off your city and why?

When people visit me in Port Dalhousie, I always pack up a cooler, a few chairs and walk down to the beautiful beach where we sit and simply enjoy the stunning views of the Port Dalhousie harbour, lighthouse and the north shore of Lake Ontario.

Sporting teams can anchor a city – what teams do you love to cheer for?

The St. Catharines Rowing Club has a long tradition of competing at the highest level in the sport of rowing and they just happen to be in Port Dalhousie! You can see them practicing from the Henley Island and watch them compete in the regatta. It’s the best place to watch perfect teamwork in action.

How long have you lived in this incredible place? What brought you here and why you suggest someone else consider moving here?

Port Dalhousie is a beautiful little town with unique restaurants and cafes. It also has the most popular beach in the St. Catharines area. I have lived in this community for over a year, now. It is surrounded by beautiful views of the lake and its marina and relaxing atmosphere. I have lived in many cities across the globe and this is one of my favorites.

The neighborhood you call home and what you love about it:

I absolutely love living in Port Dalhousie as it offers wonderful cycling, jogging, strolling and hiking opportunities, as well as, a laid-back west-coast vibe. The neighbors are all incredibly friendly, always lending a hand to each other and supporting the local shops, cafes and restaurants.

All About you:

I’m in the business of inspiring, motivating positive change, lifting spirits and creating a conscious-centered global economy. I work with conscious entrepreneurs, leaders and teams who want to embody their highest values, serve on the deepest level possible, do business with great love and make a real impact.
