Decorating: Tree Cluster Ideas That Will Make Your Home Look Like a Christmas Wonderland

Tree Cluster Ideas That Will Make Your Home Look Like a Christmas Wonderland

In the past few years, we have been seeing more of the Christmas Tree cluster trend. This involves taking 2-3 trees (although there is really no limit) and placing them together in a cluster in your home. The aesthetic is simply magical.

There are several ways you can play around with your Christmas Tree Cluster theme. Here are a few suggestions.

Height and Shape

First, it’s important to find trees that work well together in terms of height and shape. The trees should be different heights and it’s up to you how far you want to take it. You can have a big momma tree with a little baby tree next to it. Or you can have a big daddy tree with a slightly smaller mama and teenage tree.

The only real rule here is to avoid making too much disparity in height if you are pairing three trees. If you are featuring a trio, they should have equidistant height differences. You won’t want to put two very tall trees with one that’s a lot shorter.

The trees should also all be similar in shape. So, they can all be tall, wide, whatever, as long as they have the same vibe. To ensure you are playing your cards right, look for trees of the same breed.

Decorating Suggestions

When it comes to decorating, you won’t want to overdo it. Therefore, you should give your trees a similar look in terms of color, theme etc.

To stay on the safe side, you can use a very simple decorating scheme by covering them only in snow (this will make it seem like you have an authentic forest in your living room) or simple lights.

If you want to make for a more ‘over the top’ look, the sky is the limit. You can go opulent, minimalist, goth… and the list goes on.

The only rule here is to stick to a theme in terms of color and inspiration. So, if one tree is gold and features a Disney theme, the other should follow suit. If one tree has more of a minimalist look, the other should too.

You can also create designs that complement each other. For example, one tree can be gold, another can be silver and a third can be bronze. Or you can give each a thematic color like white, red, and green. If the colors and themes work together, you’re good to go.

Tree clusters are a great way to decorate for the holiday season. Now that you have some inspiration, you can come up with ways to create a unique design. How will you be moving forward with your seasonal look?
