About the Market
The market is part of a 500-year tradition. It runs from late November until the end of December. It attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
You will find the market stalls at the squares around St. Blasii Cathedral. They are transformed with elegant illuminations. This is part of what makes the market one of the most attractive and atmospheric in Germany.
The market is open from Monday to Saturday from 10 AM to 9 PM and Sundays and holidays from 11 AM to 9 PM.
What to Buy at the Market
The market features 150 stalls with vendors selling a variety of goods and foods. You can buy gift items like wooden toys, jewelry, fur-lined, leather goods, illuminated stars, and more.
And your taste buds will not be disappointed. There will be a wide range of traditional foods and German beers. There will be plenty of mulled wine as well.
