Traditions: Five Holiday Party Games the Whole Family will Love

Christmas is the time to be festive. It’s all about great food, great people and fun activities. Gatherings can be even more fun with Holiday Party Games.

Party games can be played at parties, or you can play them with the family to make nights spent at home special. Here are a few your friends and relatives are bound to love.

20 Questions Christmas Edition

We all know how 20 questions work, right? Someone thinks of something, and the other players try to guess what it is using yes or no questions only. Make sure all the things you think of are holiday themed for a festive party game experience.

Candy Cane Card Game

This game requires a deck of cards, three or more players and Candy Canes that are one less than the amount of people playing the game. The candy canes should be placed in the middle of the table. Players take cards from the deck in the hopes of getting four of a kind. Once that happens, he or she grabs a candy cane and the other players scramble to grab the remaining candy canes. Whoever doesn’t end up with a candy cane is out.

Santa Limbo

Santa Limbo is played just like Limbo only players must stuff a pillow under their shirt to resemble Santa before going under the Limbo stick. The stick will get lower and lower making it harder and harder for them to get through, especially with that belly!

Christmas Charades

Christmas charades is played exactly like charades but with a Christmas theme. Guests must choose from a list of Christmas terms to act out. Your crew separates into teams and one member of one of the team acts out the charade as the other teams try to guess what they are trying to communicate. Teams and team members take turns, and a points system determines who ends up winning.

Christmas Memory Game

To play the Christmas Memory Game, you must draw 2 of eight holiday images on sixteen cards. So you might have two Santa cards, two Frosty cards, two Rudolph cards… and the list goes on. The cards are laid face down on the ground in a square pattern. Players keep flipping the cards to get familiar with what’s behind each in the hopes of finding a match. Once they find a match, they pick the cards up and keep them to the side. The player that ends up with the most cards win.

Christmas is coming up soon. Which of these games will you be playing to keep the season bright?
