These recipes won’t take you more than 10 minutes to make and don’t need a lot of ingredients so you can make them for cheap!
Our selection has sweet and savory snacks to satisfy all tastes. Hope you enjoy them!

Sweet potato chips

If you have tried to make potato chips before, and they came out all soggy and oily. I feel you girl, we’ve all been there! When i tell you that i have tried so many times to make regular and sweet potato chips, but they never came out good until i found this recipe. Let me tell you, my life was changed FOR EVER!
Here is what you’ll need:

  • 1 large sweet potato, scrubbed clean and any brown spots trimmed off
  •  1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
  •  1/2 teaspoon salt
  •  1/4 teaspoon ground pepper

Cut off the ends of your sweet potato and slice it using the thinnest blade on a mandolin or a sharp chef knife. Take care to keep all 10 of your fingers attached LOL.
Put the slices in a bowl and add oil, salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly. I use my hands to make sure every slice of potato is coated.

Cut out a piece of parchment paper in a circle to fit the tray in your microwave. Place sweet potatoes in a single layer on the tray. Microwave on high power for 3 to 4 minutes or until crispy but not browned. Watch carefully for the first batch or two to determine the proper time since all microwaves are slightly different. 3 minutes was my perfect number. Repeat this step until all chips are cooked. Best served immediately.

Fresh restaurant quality salsa

One of my favorite Snacks on earth is Salsa and tortilla chips! I can have it all day, every day!
This home made salsa tastes just as good as a restaurant salsa!

Okay so here is what you will need to make the yummiest salsa you’ve ever tried!

  • 28 ounces can whole plum tomatoes including juice
  • 1 small white onion peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 to 2 jalapeño peppers seeded and chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/4 to 1 teaspoon granulated sugar optional, and to taste
  • 1 to 2 handfuls cilantro I prefer 2
  • About 3 tablespoons lime juice

Throw all the ingredients in the food processor, pulse a few times until you reach the desired consistency (I prefer my salsa to be chunky), taste it and add more lime juice or salt if you need to. serve cold with some tortilla chips. Even though This recipe takes only 5 minutes to make, I would suggest you to make it the night before. Put the salsa in an air tight container and let the flavors mix nicely overnight.

Hummus Dip

Hummus is a savory middle eastern dip that is without a doubt getting more popular in the US. Mainly made from chickpeas, store bought hummus contains so many unnecessary ingredients. So why buy it when you can make it quickly with simple ingredients?
Here is what you will need to make creamy, delicious hummus

  • 1 (15-ounce) can chickpeas or 1 1/2 cups (250 grams) cooked chickpeas
  • lemon juice from a large lemon
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) unsweetened yogurt (you can use Greek yogurt_)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for serving
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons (30 to 45 ml) water
  • A dash of ground paprika for serving

Strain and rinse your chickpeas if they are store bought. Trow them in a food processor alongside with yogurt, lemon juice olive oil, salt and cumin. Pulse a few times until the texture becomes smooth. If you find that your hummus is still grainy, add water and blend until smooth! Now how easy was that?
Serve your humus with pita bread or some veggie sticks and enjoy!

Pizza Toasts

Home made pizza is such a good movie companion when made right. But, sometimes you don’t want to spend hours making fresh pizza dough to make home made pizza! Especially that it takes only 10 minutes!
Here are the ingredients you need:

Nutella Brownies

If you love Nutella, or if you love chocolate at all. You’ll definitely enjoy these easy to make brownies that take literally 10 minutes and taste so good.
To make these brownies you will need 3 ingredients:

  • 1  1/4 cup Nutella
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9 inch x 9 inch metal baking pan. In a large bowl, add your eggs and Nutella, whisk them until well combined. Then add your flour and mix until smooth. Pour your batter into the baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes depending on how you like your brownies. I like mine to be fudge-y so i go for 10 minutes. Be careful not to bake too long or else your brownies will dry out. Let your brownies cool and set before cutting and serving.

If you need a nice drink to enjoy the Nutella brownies with, we have a delicious coffee drink recipe for you to compliment perfectly the chocolaty taste of the brownies.
