New Balance have released images of the limited edition Liverpool shirt they have made to mark the club’s Sixth European Cup triumph.
The club’s kit manufacturer have created a special black strip which contains six stars around the famous liver bird.
It will go on sale on December 4 and is expected to be priced between £60 to £70.
The shirt’s design is very similar to the popular Liverpool 2019/20 goalkeeper shirt, which has been worn by Alisson and Adrian in the Premier League this season.
It is part of a special collection of merchandise launched by New Balance to commemorate Liverpool’s Champions League success over Tottenham in June.
It is the sixth time Liverpool have won the European Cup, following previous successes in 1977, 1978, 1981, 1984 and 2005.
The ‘six times’ collection by New Balance also includes a cap, snood, training shirt and a special version of the home strip.
This is New Balance’s final season as Liverpool’s kit supplier, with the club set to switch to Nike from 2020/21.
The Boston-based company, which entered into an agreement with Liverpool in 2012, had attemped to activate a renewal clause in their contract which gave them the right to match any offer from a competitor.
But at a high court hearing earlier this month, Liverpool were cleared to enter into a new agreement with Nike.
The 2-0 Champions League final win over Tottenham famously resulted in Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp hilariously singing a rendition of Salt-N-Pepa’s hit song Let’s Talk About Sex.
He said as he burst into song: “There are always a couple of people who can tell you ‘yeah, but they didn’t win’.
“So now, let’s talk about six baby. Let’s talk about you and me. Let’s talk about all the good things and the bad things that may be. Let’s talk about six.”
Liverpool will be hoping to qualify for the knockout stages of this season’s Champions League when they host Napoli on Wednesday.
The Reds, who have reached the final in the last two seasons, are top of Group E after four games.
