Randy Orton in AEW wouldn’t surprise Booker T, Anthony Ogogo starts training as a wrestler, Hulk Hogan explains fan confrontation

talkSPORT brings you the latest news from the world of wrestling…

Does what he wants

WWE and WCW legend Booker T has said he would not be surprised if Randy Orton joined AEW.

It’s been reported by Fightful that the 13-time world champion’s WWE contract expires in the summer of 2020.

The 38-year-old signed a 10-year deal in 2010, but could leave for Wrestling’s newest promotion.

“How cool [AEW] is, you know, Cody Rhodes and Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and yeah he is an elite-level player,” Booker said.

“I always said, Randy Orton is an elite wrestler, he’s an elite superstar.

“He’s my guy, I always said that. One thing about Randy man, he’s always been a rebel. He’s always been a guy that walks to the beat of his own drum, you know what I mean? And if anybody was to do something crazy, it would be Randy… I’m gonna say it right now, man. If it happened, I would not be surprised.”

New career

Former professional boxer Anthony Ogogo has turned to wrestling just months after having to retire because of an eye injury.

He has been snapped up by AEW, though, who announced the signing of the former boxer at an event in Stevenage.

Don’t mess with Hulk

WWE Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan was seen getting into a heated exchange with a fan at a hotel bar.

Hogan said he went to meet fellow legend Ric Flair for a drink after SmackDown, before the incident occurred.

“He wanted to have one drink—before the chaos started—so, we went to a little booth back there and the people kept coming up,” Hogan recalled.

“Flair is a heel in the ring, so he was acting like a heel and running people off so we can have at least one drink. This one guy came over and he was drunk on his ass. He had about four guys with him. They all looked like 40-45 year-old guys. They were all over six feet tall, bunch of ranging looking spoons. Flair runs him off, next thing you know he sends over two Shirley Temples for me and Flair. Saying we’re a bunch of p***ies.”

As Hogan left, that same drunk individual came up to him with some more words.

“On the way out—what doesn’t show on the video—the guy that Flair ran off that was really drunk goes, ‘Hey Hogan, you’re a f*****g d***,’” Hogan explained. “Usually I keep going, but for some reason I just stopped dead in my tracks. I turned around and looked at him, and the only thing I could think to say was the line Flair dropped.

“I said, ‘Well, brother, I dare you to come outside and say this to my face.’

“I don’t know if the video showed this. What the guys didn’t know is Brian Kendrick and a lot of the WWE and NXTguys—there’s this crazy bond, there’s this loyalty thing—so, if you get into fight with a wrestler at a bar, you better make sure there are no other wrestlers around. As I’m arguing with the guy, I notice Brian Kendrick circling the wagons, I see all the other guys ‘in position’ and I go, ‘Oh my God, this could get crazy.’ But that’s all that happened and I went up to the room.”
