Confused Thoughts? Take a walk

I am frequently caught up with conflicting thoughts and views about an important situation. Why wasn’t I appreciated for my work? Am I not putting in enough efforts? Should I relocate for a fresh start? Is my mother disappointed in me somehow? Should I go with Plan A or B?

All possibilities and views seem correct when I am in that super Confused state. As with all stressful situations, my head feels heavy and I lose peace till I am clear about what I should do.

One good way that works for me is to go for a short Walk immediately. In about 10-15 minutes, I would have calmed down and started feeling better. I personally enjoy brisk Walking but the pace could depend from person to person.

Walking helps me relax and think better. I generally come back with more clarity and a happier state of mind. In the least, watching happy kids playing, cute dogs walking, pleasing scenery in the park helps divert my mind temporarily from the problem at hand.

Also, stumbled upon few articles that confirm this scientifically  – apparently walking releases mood influencing hormones that make one feel good and happy. 30-40 minutes daily is the suggested time for overall wellness, but I personally recommend even a 15 minute walking break, if schedules don’t permit.

And hey! losing some calories is always an added advantage
