Plans were made,

altered, re-altered and finalised.

The result was astonishing.

The colours were many.

There were shades of
brown, grey, black, green, yellow
and a mix of other bright hues too...

Variety was introduced,
so that, interest would not wane.

The visitors were many.
So too were the noises.

Words flew back and forth.
At last a 'name' was decided.

An easy to pronounce name,
for both the young and the old.

Everyone liked it.
It was easy on the tongue
plus enticed the senses.

The older generation
could recall pages...
of fond memories
of overcoming barriers
and the endless struggles,
of hair raising tales.

The Creator smiled
at the 'Trees' just below.

The word 'tree' was just apt,
bringing to mind
a heavenly presence,
as they loomed up, high above,
carrying notes from
the Earth below,
whispering a message
to Earthlings...

could  you allocate
some of your precious hours,
to nurture one tree
in your lifetime?
