The oranges are lying unattended.
The Betel plant is crying out for water.
The spinach is waiting to be plucked.
The wasps are zooming around
enjoying a free rein while
building a home.
The green space resonates
with an eerie calm,
seemingly devoid
of that happy aura,
when suddenly a new visitor
arrives over the gate  saying...
I've come here to
savour a slice of green.
