5 PRODUCTIVITY MAXIMISING LISTING HACKS THAT GET IMMEDIATE RESULTS

Do you find yourself wondering: "What should I put on my checklist" or "Why is my checklist so ineffective?" If yes, then you have come to the right place! Here are 5 productivity maximising listing hacks that get immediate results. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!

1. Use the "Apple tree" technique

While this may sound a bit quirky, the apple tree technique is a theory that is basically saying that you pick the lower apples first before you get your ladder and reach for the higher ones. It means that you should do tasks that will take less time to complete first before doing harder tasks, because if you do it the other way around the apples at the bottom of the tree may be disrupting your work and you really don't want to do like, 5 easy tasks after one major hard task. That is why this is one of the most effective listing techniques

2. Paper First

Even though these days many people use the computer to do their work, I find that it is more effective to do any written work first before doing online work. This may be because I usually get more distracted when I am online rather than offline. Whenever you make a list try to put written work first.

3.Prioritise your checklist

Many people simply put down things they want to do and do not prioritise them. This is less effective because when you do not know which order to do the items on your Checklist, you may not have as much of a workflow or effective order. That is why prioritising your checklist is of utmost importance and something I make myself do all the time.

4.Offline Checklist PLEASE

I get it, it is far more convenient for you to make an online checklist, but an offline checklist (In my opinion) is a far more effective way for you to check your checklist rather than simply going onto reminders/stickies. Adding on to the point, online checklists are easier to manipulate, meaning that you can just close the application and the checklist will be gone. That's why I strongly recommend using an offline checklist

5.Use Online Reminders With an Offline Checklist

Even though I said that using an offline checklist is a bad thing, which in my opinion it is, but only by itself. I think that if you use an online application such as reminders to remind you of the offline things you put on your offline checklist, adding both of these tools will really maximise productivity. Some of these apps could be Reminders, Trello, Todoist, Calendar, etc...
