How To Self-Quarantine The Right Way | Making The Most Of Your Self-Quarantine Period.

It's no secret that the most recommended measure taken against the COVID19 is social distancing. But what do you do while at home all day?

For those who are not used to staying at home, this will be hard for them. They need to be occupied or do different things to avoid being bored or anxious.

It is good to note that this period is an opportunity to catch up on a lot of things and to learn new things too. So make sure you used your time well before you get busy again after a solution is found for this pandemic.

I believe this is the best moment to develop and improve yourself that's why in this post I am sharing what you can do to make the most of your self-quarantine period.

How to make the most of your self-quarantine period

Read

Feed your mind with good knowledge. Read for entertainment and also to learn. Use this time to develop yourself through books and blogs.

Write

This is time to keep a Journal, start a blog, or write a book. Let your creative side flow from your brain to your fingers. You may be the next go-to blogger or best selling author when we get out of confinement. Shakespeare wrote his best works during a plaque - King Lear.

If you just want to keep track of how you are sending your quarantine days then you can kee a daily journal where you can write your thoughts, activities and ideas. A journal is also a way to help you feel sane.

Clean

Use this opportunity to clean all those corners you haven't been able to clean before. Doing house chores is a way of staying active and keeping fit. You'll be staying home a lot so you need to clean u to breath fresh and clean air. A clean house also prevents you from wanting to go out and that is important especially now that we a practising social distancing.

Workout

You need to keep fit in order for your body and mind to stay healthy. Exercise at home by jumping a rope or weight lifting or simply doing yoga.

Sleep

This is time to make up for lost sleep. Remember those times you complained of not having enough time to sleep? You should make up for those times now.

Sleep for at least eight hours and take breaks in the day to take naps. It doesn't matter if you are idle about these days. Sleep is still important. Try to have good quality sleep.

Meditate

Find time to meditate. I call this having a meeting with yourself. Go over the emotions that you are feeling at the moment in a calm way and acknowledge them without judging yourself. Also just empty your mind and breathe as you feel the peace rush inside of you.

Meditating is very important during stressful and confusing moments like this.

Evaluate

This is the time to evaluate your life. We are already four months gone into the year. What were your goals and how close are you to them? How close or far are you from your long term plans?

Do an evaluation of your goals and change strategy if possible.

Dream

Yeah, you can have new dreams. Change your dreams if you feel like you need to dream again. You have got all the time. Make plans on how to achieve those dreams.

The world is going through such a change and what now have in our hands is time. Time to do all the things you dreamt of doing. Don't miss this chance to explore and come out of this confinement as a better person.

Thanks for reading and stay safe.
I'll see you in my next one.
