Well, my friend, don’t put it off any longer- it’s time to get serious about decluttering. But don’t worry, decluttering doesn’t have to be a pain in the butt, in fact, with the right attitude, it can be downright delightful!

1. Start With The “Low-Hanging Fruit.”

Take a quick survey of your apartment and identify the areas that are the most cluttered. These are the “low-hanging fruit” and tackling them first will give you a quick sense of accomplishment.

When I don’t have the energy to list an item, I love donating to places like Value Village and small non-for-profit thrift stores.

Don’t be afraid to think outside the box when it comes to storage solutions. Consider using under-bed storage containers, hanging organizers, or even a pegboard to keep your items organized.

8. Make Decluttering A Habit.

I know this is easier said than done, but if you make it a part of your regular routine, you’ll feel more at peace in your space! There’s something about the sense of cleanliness and order in your home that makes your apartment feel cozier.

Bonus Tip: Don’t forget about digital clutter. Make sure to organize and delete unnecessary files, emails, and apps from your devices. I really struggle with doing this since I save every funny meme I see online!

Remember that decluttering is a process, not a destination. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither is a clutter-free apartment. But by following these tips and staying committed to the process, you’ll be well on your way to creating a beautiful and functional apartment.
