A Recent Read
One of the rules is for the nominee(s) to write about a recent blog they’ve read. As a blogger, I need to follow more blogs, and currently follow only some smaller stellar ones that I’ve kind of tripped over. Most recently, I’ve found a good one called, Flipping Moons, written by a fellow Canadian also name Kate.
Kate and her husband tossed in the corporate towel and decided to follow a nomadic minimalistic approach to life. I’ve followed them to Mexico, back to Canada, and am now enjoying their Spanish adventures in Valencia. Her two girls are absolutely adorable, and their tales are fun.

As part of my nomination from Molly’s Pitcher, I’ve been asked by Molly to share more about myself by answering some questions.
What is your goal for your blog?
My main goal is to be read. After securing a captive following, I would love the opportunity to brand myself as a widely recognized travel and lifestyle writer.
What are 2 blogs that you enjoy reading?
When I decided to start blogging last Spring. My sister put me onto a couple of her favorites and I adopted them too.

What are you most proud of about your blog?
That I actually started it! But, also that I’ve done it all myself.
What do you struggle with the most on your blog?
Definitely the SEO side of things and anything techie.
Do you take your own pictures or download pictures from a website?
I would say 85% of the pictures are my own. Occasionally I download. But, I try to use my own stuff.
What do you struggle to balance between your blog, family, friends, work, etc? Is there something you are giving up to blog?
I struggle to find time to blog and write in general. Everything in my life comes before my writing time. There is nothing I’m giving up – I do what I can.
If you could have an extra hour a day, what would you do with it?
Write.
What is your favorite book and why?
Far too hard to pin that down. Off the top of my head…Sense and Sensibility. However, I might give you a different answer tomorrow.
What is the last book that you read?
The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende.
Where would you travel if you could go anywhere?
I have a pretty liberal travel schedule and travel often. Japan is pretty high on my list right now as is Argentina. It would be a toss-up.
How do you relax at the end of the day?
I read.
