...loves to travel alone...

For some people, traveling alone is terrifying. It's the frightening feeling of what if something bad happens? What if I get lost? Well bad things happen to everyone, everywhere and getting lost can just be more details to the Story for later.
When I went on my first vacation alone, it was honestly the most thrilling thing I have ever done. I planned it out maybe two days before I actually decided to go, called my friend in Houston and made sure he could house me for the night and I left without telling anyone else. I drove to Houston alone, music blaring and smoke filling my lungs; heading West, I felt like a bad ass. Coming home was the hardest part.
The first time I ever flew in an airplane I was alone. I was heading to New York and shaking in my chair. The flight attendant handed me my water I had asked for and my hand was shaking so bad that I accidentally spilled it on the man next to me. After realizing what a shit show I must have looked like I quickly got my shit together and sat tight for another great experience.

Feeling the plane lift off of the ground for the first time, I felt all of my worries moving to the front of my brain again; what if the plane crashes, what if you can't find your terminal, what if New York is too big for you and you get lost, what if something bad happens Megan!?! You're all alone?!
The details. It's all I counter it with. Yes, something terrible could go wrong and you could be scared the whole time, but most likely, you won't die and those will just be details to the story later; details that make everything more interesting. This thought isn't much but it did help me to get through all of the scary adventure that awaited for me.
Don't be afraid of the what ifs; be afraid your story won't have any good details.
