Plastic waste is dangerous to marine wildlife, and we all know it.

But, not many people are aware that 8 million metric tons of plastic are dumped in the ocean every single year.

All this plastic would take centuries to decompose, and in the meantime, it would continue killing millions of animals.

This Florida Brewery based in Delray Beach makes bio gradable 6-pack rings out of barley and wheat to feed the wildlife instead of killing them. The Brewery has joined its forces together with the tech startup Eco Six Pack Rings or E6PR.

The sustainable product has been compressed into a touch, durable material that can sustain the common wear and tear that comes with transport and storage in a refrigerator.

However, the bio gradable rings cost more than plastic ones. The company hopes that by spreading awareness, its users won’t mind paying a higher price to help save the planet.

The head of the company, Peter Agardy, says the eco-friendly rings are an important contribution to their brand. They hope bigger associations would soon join their cause, which is to save millions of marine lives.

They believe that a truly successful brand today is the one that’s best FOR the world, not IN the world.
