What’s On at Twickenham Stadium This Year?

Anyone who loves Rugby will know that Twickenham Stadium is the home of English Rugby. Not only that, but it is also the biggest dedicated rugby union site in the world, accommodating approximately 82,000 fans at any one time. But rugby is not the only thing that takes place at the Stadium.

Whether you live near Twickenham or are planning a visit to Twickenham this summer, here are some of the things that you can look forward to at Twickenham Stadium this year:

1.      The World Rugby Museum

You cannot visit Twickenham Stadium without taking a tour around the World Rugby Museum. You will get to learn all about the history, tradition, and culture of rugby union in all of its forms. If you are a rugby lover, make sure you hop in a Twickenham taxi and make your way to this amazing museum.

2.      Twickenham Stadium Tours

If you are planning a trip to Twickenham this year, you’ll want to make sure you make time to go on a Twickenham Stadium Tour. You will get to visit some of the most exciting and exclusive areas of the stadium including the new look Players’ Tunnel and the England Dressing Room. What rugby fan would not enjoy this?

3.      Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final 2021 (26th June)

Twickenham Stadium is hosting the Premiership Rugby Final on the 26th of June 2021. To reach the final stages, the rugby teams will have battled in 22 rounds and two semi-final matches. We wonder who will be victorious this year?

4.      England v the USA – The Summer Series (4th July)

The last time England played rugby against the USA was in the group stages of the 2019 Rugby World Cup. In this game, England was victorious with a 45-7 win. The England Rugby team will be looking for a repeat result this year, so it is definitely a rugby match to watch.

5.      England v Canada – The Summer Series (7th August)

The England Rugby team has not played Canada since 2004. In that game, England was victorious, achieving an amazing 70-0 win. Not only that, but the captain at the time, Jason Robinson, also managed to score a hattrick for the team. Let us hope that the match on the 7th of August is as exciting as the last one they played.

6.      Lions Tour Screening (24th July – 7th August)

The Irish and British Lions will be travelling to South Africa for a tour this year, which will include a number of matches against the Rugby World Cup Winner South Africa. Twickenham Stadium will be showing all the action of these games on their large screens for rugby fans to enjoy. Tickets for this event include access to live music, the hospitality suite, a drink on arrival and a burger and chips. What more could you want?

Twickenham Stadium is the home to the Rugby Football Union. Not only does this stadium host international rugby matches for the England national team as well as club rugby matches, but it also hosts a range of other events such as music concerts. Whether you prefer to watch a rugby game or you prefer listening to music, Twickenham Stadium has something to offer everyone this year.
