If you need to pass an English language test for your visa or studies, you may be asking yourself – how much time should I set aside to Prepare for the PTE language test?

Understand the structure of PTE test

There are three sections in the PTE test: Speaking & Writing, Reading and Listening. The PTE focuses on English found in an academic environment.

Speaking & Writing

This is the longest section of the test. It takes up to 67 minutes. You will be required to do a personal introduction based on the audio passage you will hear. The introduction section is entirely meant for you to become familiar with the test structure and does not affect your score. Listening

The listening section lasts up to 43 minutes.  You will hear different conversations that range from informal conversations to academic lectures.
