The 482 steam was introduced to prioritise the permanent residency pathways for skills and occupations each Australian state could classify as in high demand. That’s how the Short Term Skill Occupation List (STSOL) and the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) were introduced.
