Review de una exhibition para preparar el examen de writing nivel c1

Hola Seguidores, seguimos ampliando los modelos de Writing para que preparéis vuestros exámenes. Hoy lo hacemos con un Review, que como sabéis es uno de los tipos de writings que suelen pedir en los exámenes oficiales de inglés como es el caso de Cambridge y de la Escuela Oficial de Idiomas. Se trata de un review realizado por una alumna mía, Laura, que me hace mucha ilusión publicar, ya que ella me confesaba, cuando le dije que lo pondría en la web, que hace unos meses, cuando dió con la Web del Inglés y empezó a ver nuestros writings, se preguntó si algún día podría ella tener un writing suyo publicado en esta web. Pues sí, porque lo ha hecho muy bien y se lo merece, se lo publicamos, porque me gusta premiar el trabajo bien hecho y el esfuerzo. Enhorabuena, Laura, por haberlo hecho tan bien. Ahí va esto, para que todos vosotros también podáis aprender de este review. ¡Espero que os guste! 🙂

Williams Art is running for the nine next weeks at World Centre of Madrid and it´s made by a brilliant girl who is a passionate of art from her childhood. It stands on a superb area which is only pedestrian, but people can find a huge parking car park nearby.

An important positive aspect which should be worth highlighting is the fancy decoration of the room, where there are is a large number of astonishing pictures in a great and bright space. In my mind, it´s this is its big selling point because not only can people appreciate the art but have also a panoramic view of all pictures.

Without a shadow of doubt, it could be rated within of the top 10 by the world art. To my knowledge, it seems to have been be made by a professional talented artist instead of an inexpert girl, although nobody is too young to dream big. Moreover, every spectators can resolve any doubt about the picture technique with experts who are around of the room and you can ask them whatever you want whatever question you may have.

Nevertheless, the bar isn´t quite up to the same high standards the bar. Due to the its policy, it is compulsory to buy a drink and I felt a lack of professionalism of from the staffs, who were unimpolite and unhelpful, even after to waiting too much time for a long time to be assisted.

I would thoroughly recommend your visiting this exhibition for all the positive aspects above mentioned and because the entry is absolutely free of charge.

NOTAS:

Este review tiene muchos aspectos positivos, como se puede observar en las notas azules. Hagamos una lista:

• Vocabulary avanzado nivel C1 e ideal para un review: is running (para expresar “durar”, “estar disponible”), stand on, fancy decoration, ashtonishing, its big selling point (gancho comercial), dream big, be quite up to the same high standards (estar o no al mismo nivel), a lack of, free of charge.
• Buenos linkers y de buen nivel: in my mind, without a shadow of doubt, to my knowledge, nevertheless, etc.
• Good grammar: should be worth highlighting (worth + ing – verb pattern), could be rated (passive), not only can… (inversion), it seems to (verb pattern), recommend your visiting (possessive + ing), etc.

Corrijamos ahora los errores y aprendamos de ellos:

• Car park = el parking.
• This is en lugar de it is, y ¿por qué? Porque de lo que estamos hablando se ha dicho justo anteriormente, nos estamos refiriendo a “astonishing pictures in a great and bright space” y cuando nos referimos a algo que acabamos de nombrar, debemos poner this (esto) en lugar de it.
• There is a large number of = there is en singular porque después tenemos “a”, que es singular.
• … seems to have been be made by … = ¿Cuál es la diferencia entre “seems to be made” y “seems to have been made”? Bien, tenemos que tener en cuenta lo siguiente. El verbo seem va seguido de to infinitive, y en inglés tenemos 3 tipos de infinitivos, el infinitivo de presente (to work), el infinitivo de pasado (to have worked) y el infinitivo de futuro (to be working). En esta oración, estamos hablando de un pasado porque la exhibition ya se ha hecho, por eso, seems to have been made, en pasado y además, es una pasiva.
• whatever you want whatever question you may have = lo que se había puesto aquí, que yo he tachado ahora, está correcto, simplemente propongo una opción más trabajada y avanzada para que lo aprendáis.
• the bar isn´t quite up to the same high standards the bar  = recordemos que el orden de elementos en una oración en inglés siempre es: Sujeto + Verb + Complement = el sujeto aquí, es decir, la cosa de la que estamos hablando, es “the bar”, por eso debe aparecer en primer lugar, no al final.
• Staff es de esas palabras en inglés que no lleva -s de plural.
• Polite en negativo se hace con el prefijo im, no un.
• Después de after, al igual que before, ponemos verbo en ing.

Vale, pues ya tenemos este review corregido y explicado. Te recomiendo una lista de linkers para hacer tus writings: linkers para preparar tus exámenes oficiales.
