Beauty is only skin deep.

Craving is not in any way a good habit. Be it with food, or be it with Clothes. The impact of globalisation has not only affected food, but it has come about to dictate the way we dress. Basically, dressing was essentially dependent on the region one lives in. While in tropical climate, wearing cotton is cool, wearing woolen in temperate regions is hot! True it is. One must dress according to the necessities and environmental surroundings.

But with the boom of Fashion industry, what we get to observe is pure Westernisation. While coats and suits have become the order of the day, for any official events or gatherings, the idea of being looked down upon for wearing traditional clothes is disheartening. Hand-woven fabrics are slowly becoming obsolete, machines are replacing human jobs in that sector too.

A good demarcation in clothes wear could be based on the occasion. Party wear, Formal wear, and Causal wear. On deeper thoughts, one might find no big difference between the three. While in one dress, you may look somber, in the other you may look glamorous. But essentially, you are not a mis-fit, if you cross-dress for the occasions, especially for boys! On the other hand, fashion is an industry mainly targeting the female population, and their indomitable craving to look beautiful.

There are beauty parlours and diet pills in the market, to support one half of the population, and knowing full well of the craving they possess to look beautiful. Ah! What to do? Blame the society norms? No we can't! Because we only created such norms. While a person's attitude and approach to a situation is what stands paramount, looking beautiful does not!

Because beauty is only skin deep.
