Love You, Totti

Tags: totti died

Everyone has sad stories to tell. I have one about my cat. I love cats.

Totti, my special cat, Died. She’s special because she’s actually my neighbor’s cat that decided to move into our house and hired me as her slave. Who could resist a big, gentle cat with soft, fluffy brown hair? Oh, you can? Unfortunately I can’t.

Two years with Totti is enlightening. I learn a lot from her. She was ready to show affection to to other cats that want it. Cedi was always hungry for love and Totti was always ready to lick him on the head. I’m wondering whether Cedi misses her. I’m sure he does.

Totti didn’t disturb other cats at all. When Wiki hissed at her, she gracefully ignored and walked away quietly. When Wiki ate her food, Totti just looked at her and waited until she finished.

I thought it was just a blain. Wiki had it once and it healed by itself. It turned out that Totti had a tumor. A fast-growing tumor. So fast that it affected the function of almost all her internal organs in just two days. After five days in pet clinic, all her organs stop functioning. She died. I couldn’t bear to see her dead body. The vet wrapped her with recycled paper. I touched it and my tears flowed like rain. Totti was buried in a cemetery for human. It’s called ‘Hero Cemetery’. What a perfect name! Totti is a hero for me, for my soul.

One day before she died I had a dreamed about Totti. She was walking away from me as if she was leaving me. And one day after she died I dreamed again about her. This time, Totti was coming back with a bit of blood on her body. Pretty strange dream but it made me sad.

Until now, I still see Totti in the house, in the garden, near the car. I still see Totti cozying in front of my house. Whenever I see Cedi, I see Totti as well. And I will always see her forever.
