Bikie link to deadly Perth shoot-out
THE father of the 23-year-old Perth man Shot dead in a suburban gunfight has used Facebook to issue a chilling warning.

Mitch Finnerty died from gunshot wounds to his upper body after he was shot by an unidentified gunman outside a home on Cassia Link in Banksia Grove about 10.30pm on Tuesday.
This morning his father, Lance Finnerty, posted on Facebook: “you low life piece off s**t you kill my son i am coming looking see you soon.”

Also wounded were Mr Finnerty’s close friends, Pellegrino Paul Mule, 53, who is the State president of the Coffin Cheater bikie gang and his 24-year-old son Mark Mule, The West Australian reported.

Major Crime Squad Detective Inspector Mark Fyfe said the Gang Crime Squad were investigating the incident in addition to Major Crime and Joondalup Detectives.

Det-Insp Fyfe said there was no evidence to suggest the violence itself was gang-related.

Det-Insp Fyfe said the shooting unfolded on the driveway and spilt onto the street.

It’s understood the three men shot were visiting the Cassia Link property and had been among seven people socialising at the house.

It wasn’t until another man Turned up at the house that the shooting took place.

At least three rounds were let off, however ballistics experts are still trying to determine what gun was used.

Police confirmed the gunman remains on the loose, however Det-Insp. Fyfe said he did not consider public safety to be at risk.

We’re doing everything that we can to bring this matter to a conclusion,” he said.

“This will obviously affect other people in the street so I just want to reassure them that we’re taking every possible step that we can.”

They are also reviewing CCTV footage which may have captured the headlights of a car around the time of the shooting.

Police confirmed the injured men were father and son, but their relationship with the shooter is still being investigated.

The men underwent surgery in Royal Perth Hospital, where they remain in a stable condition but their injuries are not life-threatening.

Earlier, a neighbour Tim Dunn, told how he heard six to eight shots fired, during the wild altercation.

Every other neighbour, who did not want to be named, said he went out of doors his home while “all hell broke free’’ and the 3 men had been shot.

Police are attempting to find the gunman, who's believed to have fled the scene after the capturing.

NEIGHBOUR: ‘IT turned into LIKE BANG, BANG, BANG’

Neighbour Tim Dunn, who lives on nearby Ghostgum side road, changed into watching tv together with his spouse while he heard “six to eight” pictures fired approximately 10.30pm.

“It was much like, ‘Bang bang bang,’ and then we heard some extra pictures after that,” he said.

“I just thought it became fireworks going off and we didn’t truely think some thing of it.”

Mr Dunn stated the road become commonly “useless quiet”.

“It’s a chunk of a fear, particularly being so near domestic. It’s quite horrifying due to the fact the youngsters had been inside the residence as well,” he stated.

Another neighbour, Shelby Hassett, 12, stated she heard a person screaming followed by using a “big bang”.

A female who lives on close by Kurrajong street said she woke about 10.30pm while her puppies started barking.

“It gave the impression of a person turned into jumping our next door neighbour’s fence. Our puppies were going absolutely off,” she stated.

“apparently they jumped the fence and have been hiding round the corner.”

The female said she did not know the citizens on the Cassia link assets, but believed a wife and her three children lived there.

“I realize they’ve had police there before for other incidents. The maximum current became within the closing year,” she stated.

Police are investigating and essential Crime detectives and forensic officials continue to be at the scene of the taking pictures.
