7813GILGIT: The Special Communications Organisation (SCO) is all set to establish a technical training institute in Gilgit. The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has already approved a budget of Rs. 100 million for SCO to establish the institute. The project has been designed to impart skills training to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan. The key performance indicators of the project include development of a high quality skilled workforce relevant to current and emerging employment market and trained youth regarding modern technologies, making them able to accelerate the wheel of national technical development and play their due role for prosperity of Gilgit Baltistan.
