Nneka Ihim’s latest interview is making rounds on social media.

“Real Housewives of Potomac” fans have been very vocal about the show’s latest season. While some were satisfied with the direction, others were disappointed. They felt like Wendy Osefo and Candiace Dillard Bassett were held to different standards. These fans believe Colorism is a huge factor. This was addressed at the reunion. Robyn Dixon admitted Candiace’s comments to Gizelle Bryant about her proximity to whiteness rubbed her the wrong way. As we reported, Robyn took a genealogy test years ago. And the results concluded she’s over sixty percent European. Robyn was stunned. However, some fans were not, since they had agreed when Katie Rost suspected Gizelle and Robyn were mixed race during the first season.

Robyn said it was unfair to bring up colorism because the optics were not on the side of the GEB. Gizelle said she couldn’t be colorist because she attended an HBCU and pledged a historically black sorority. Wendy responded by saying everyone on the cast doesn’t have the range to discuss colorism, so they shouldn’t discuss it. Interestingly enough, RHOP newbie Nneka Ihim addressed the matter during an interview with the Shade Room.

When Nneka was asked if she agreed everyone on the cast doesn’t have the range to discuss colorism, Nneka said she wasn’t sure. But she does think several of the ladies can, including Robyn.

“I think Robyn can for sure because she’s experienced a lot of colorism in her life. And she’s talked about it during filming Black people hated her because she was light-skinned, right? Or mistreated her to where she didn’t want to have light-skinned kids. She used to pray that she would have dark-skinned children because of the way she was treated.”

She continued, “So I know she can talk about it, Gizelle. I haven’t had those conversations with Ashley, so I don’t know her range. But Ashley is someone who will sit down and learn and listen.”
