Nneka Ihim addresses RHOP fans after being called a GEB Puppet.

“Real Housewives of Potomac” star Nneka Ihim is having a controversial rookie season. Her feud with Wendy Osefo was so polarizing that an Essence Magazine writer took producers to task for it in an article. Wendy herself feels the whole situation only gave life to xenophobic stereotypes about Nigerians. Many fans agreed and blamed Ashley Darby for Wendy and Nneka having tension in the first place.

As we reported, Ashley misconstrued a previous conversation with Nneka to Wendy. The two women never recovered. As Season 8 went on, Nneka and Wendy’s issues deepened. Nneka accused Wendy’s mom of being a witch, and she believed Wendy didn’t want her on the show.

While things have been shaky between Wendy and Nneka, Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon are Team Nneka. They also are not on good terms with Wendy. Some fans have concluded that these are just friendships of convenience amid colorism accusations. Nneka’s harshest critics think she’s just a puppet for the green-eyed bandits. Interestingly enough, Nneka addressed this on X recently after an RHOP fan said they believed she was neutral.

The person wrote, “I admire how fair and balanced you are. You seem to give your entire cast the benefit of the doubt. Was that a quality you always intended to bring on the show?”

Nneka responded, “When I joined the cast it was extremely fractured. People think I’m a Geb Puppet but no one considered that they accepted me when someone contaminated me from the other side hated on me, ostracized me, and judged me due to my financial status, education, and upbringing. #RHOP”
