The verdict of the Lok Sabha Election of the world’s largest democracy will be declared on May 23. The incumbent BJP led NDA is likely to make a comeback with exit polls conducted by several news channels predicting a comfortable win for the party. The seven-phased election witnessed a tough and bitter campaign with the political discourse witnessing an all-time low. The election commission also came under the scanner with allegations of EVM tampering and questions being raised on the security of the machines ahead of the counting on Thursday. 

The results on the Election Commission website will start trickling in from 8 am onwards. The EC has said that a 24-hour EVM Control Room has also been made functional at Nirvachan Sadan to monitor complaints relating to polled EVMs.
