India’s two most important warships have arrived in Yokosuka, Japan, so they can take part in the International Fleet Review (IFR) on November 6 at Sagami Bay.

They said that the Indian Naval ships Shivalik and Kamorta will also take part in the Malabar Exercise, which will take place off the coast of Yokosuka from November 8 to 18.

The navies of India, Japan, the US, and Australia are taking part in the Malabar exercise at a time when the world is becoming more worried about China’s military moves in the South China Sea and East China Sea.

Officials said that there will be “high-tempo” drills in multiple domains, as well as complex surface, subsurface, and air operations, including live firing drills.

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Japan Maritime Self Defense Force, the IFR is being held (JMSDF).

Aside from India, the navies of Australia, Brunei, Canada, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America are also there.

The IFR will be looked over by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and 40 ships and submarines from the countries taking part will be there, officials said.

After the IFR is over, ships from the Indian Navy will join warships from the navies of Australia, Japan, and the US in the 26th Malabar naval exercise.

In addition to the two ships, the Indian Navy will also send out P-8I long-range maritime reconnaissance and anti-submarine warfare aircraft.

“During the Malabar exercise, the platforms that are taking part will do drills at a fast pace in a number of different areas. During the exercise, there will be complex surface, sub-surface, and air operations, as well as live-fire drills “said a representative.
