State run electric power transmission utility company, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, rose 1.45% to Rs 195.35 in the morning hours on BSE after the company sanctioned approval for many investment proposals aggregating to Rs 1,197.10 crore. The statement was made on Saturday, 11 March 2017.

On BSE, so far 28,000 shares were traded as against average daily volume (ADV) of 3.99 Lakh Shares in the past one quarter. The stock hit a high of Rs 198.30 and a low of Rs 195.20 so far during the day. The large-cap company having equity capital of Rs 5,231.59 crore, the face value per share is Rs 10.

NBCC (India) rose 3.11% to Rs 175.70 in the morning hours on BSE after the company said it has secured a contract worth about Rs 250 crore in Mauritius. On the BSE, 83000 shares were traded so far as against the average daily volumes of 2.59 lakh shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high and low of Rs. 178.20 Rs 173.55 respectively, during the day. The large-cap company has equity capital of Rs. 180 crore, the face value per share is Rs. 2.

Karnataka Bank rose 3.34% to Rs 140.95 at 10:30 am on BSE after the bank said it has entered into MoU with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company for general insurance business.

On the BSE, 1.85 lakh shares were traded so far as against the average daily volumes of 3.28 lakh shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high and low of Rs 141.30 and Rs 138 respectively so far during the day.

The scrip had also outperformed the market over the past 3 months, advancing 27.95% as against the Sensex;s 8.22% rise. Karnataka Bank has equity capital of Rs 282.70 crore, the face value per share is Rs 10.
