In spite of the markets facing weak, Tata Motors was the star performer of the day . Tata’s stock closed at Rs. 461 per share, up by Rs. 12 per share or 2.8%. It held the BSE Auto index in the positive terrain, contributing the most to the index gains.

NALCO (National Aluminium Company Limited) today, announced that the company approved the payment of interim dividend, declaring at Rs 2.80 per share i.e, 56% on face value of Rs 5 each, on the paid-up equity share capital of Rs 966.46 crore for the financial year 2016-17. Immediately after the announcement, NALCO spiked by over 5% on the NSE. The stock has delivered 124% returns, outperforming the BSE Mid Cap and BSE Metal index in a period of 1 year.

In a fresh development on Thursday, the RBI has allowed foreign portfolio investors to hold up to 100% stake in Sita Shree Food Products Ltd. The stock breached its upper circuit quoting at Rs 7.77 per share, up by 9.9% with surge in volume by more than 6.86 times in today’s trading session.

Neuland Lab closed at Rs 1,257 per share, up by Rs 157 per share or 14%. BS Limited closed at Rs 2.54 per share, up by Rs 0.23 per share or 9.9%.
