Sensex ending 11-month high on global cues, Nifty above 8500

The 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 181.45 points or 0.66 per cent at 27808.14 BSE broader supported by banking & financial, oil and metals stocks. 

The 50-share NSE Nifty index ended above the 8500 levels for the first time since August 14, 2015. Today closed jumped 53.15 points or 0.63 percent at 8521.05. 

The Indian Equity benchmark rallying for the second consecutive session on Tuesday, Intraday hitting 11-month high ahead of Industrial output and CPI inflation data due to later today. 

The BSE Midcap index gained 0.49 percent at 12116.53 and The BSE Smallcap index climbed 0.08 percent at 12080.86. About 1522 shares declined and 1237 shares advancing shares on Bombay Stock Exchange. 

Nifty Top Gainers- Tata Steel 5.03%, ICICI bank 4.74%, Hindalco 4.61%, Axis Bank 2.87%, Maruti 2.11%, Grasim 1.69%, HDFC 1.40%, ONGC 1.33%, Reliance 1.10%, Bharti Airtel 1.10%. 

Nifty Top Losers- Tata power 1.83%, BPCL 1.36%, Cipla 1.26%, Coal India 1.22%, Bank of baroda 1.14%, Auro Pharma 1.07%, BHEL 0.75%, Infra Tel 0.75%, Dr.Reddy’s 0.73%.
