Their plush settings, meticulous architecture, luxurious interiors and lush lawns have always been a source of fascination for many. Apart from being just residences of the celebrities, many of these houses are also popular tourist attractions, especially for the ardent fans of the celebrities.

Over the years, these real-life residences of celebrities have also been a part of the reel-life as they have time and again been used as shoot locations for Bollywood Films. Mannat

The official residence of the Badshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan, is known to all. This heritage villa is located in Bandra, one of the poshest localities of Mumbai. Spread across an area of 27000 sqft, Mannat’s present day valuation is almost Rs 200 crore.

Mannat was used as a shoot location in the 2016 film Fan, in a very lifelike scene wherein Shahrukh Khan’s character was seen waving from his balcony to the crowd of fans gathered around his house.

Prateeksha

Belonging to the Big B of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, Prateeksha is situated in Juhu. This bungalow was known to be shared by Amitabh Bachchan and his parents after its purchase in 1976. It carries on its back a significant historical legacy when it comes to the shooting of Bollywood films.

Prateeksha was used as a shoot location even before it was bought by Amitabh Bachchan. It featured in the Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Guddi as early as 1971. Moreover, it has also witnessed the shoot of the 2016 Arjun Kapoor starrer Ki & Ka wherein the couple appeared in a cameo.

Pataudi Palace

Located in the town of the same name in Haryana, the royal Pataudi Palace is the ancestral home of Soha and Saif Ali Khan and is also known by the name Ibrahim Kothi. This 200 year-old royal palace is built over a large area and is currently valued at around Rs 800 crore.

Pataudi Palace has been a much sought after location for shooting Bollywood films. Some of the well-known films shot here include the 2004 Shahrukh-Preity Zinta starrer Veer Zara, the 2006 film Rang De Basanti and the 2011 Mere Brother ki Dulhan starring Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif. Moreover, it was also a prime shoot location in the 2021 thriller series Tandav starring Saif Ali Khan himself.

Jalsa

Jalsa is the official residence of Amitabh Bachchan and his family. Spanning an area of almost 10000 sqft and flaunting the most luxurious architectural style and interiors, Jalsa is currently valued at Rs 120 crore. 

This house has witnessed the shooting of several timeless classics of the Hindi film industry. Among the most well-known names is the 1971 Rajesh Khanna starrer Anand, the 1975 film Chupke Chupke, and 1982’s Satte pe Satta, all starring Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles.

Galaxy Apartments

Located in Bandra, Galaxy Apartments is the official residence of Salman Khan and his family. This eight-floored building in Bombay’s high society has been Salman Khan’s residence for over four decades and is currently valued at over Rs 100 crore. Recently, this location was used to shoot a sequence in the 2021 Salman Khan starrer Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai.
