What is PM Kisan 14th instalment release date?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the PM Kisan 14th instalment on July 17, 2023, from Sikar, Rajasthan. In the 14th PM Kisan instalment, over 8.5 crore farmers will receive an amount of around Rs 17,000 crore. The total amount transferred to the beneficiaries since the inception of the scheme is expected to cross over Rs 2.59 lakh crore, the government said in a statement on July 26.

Under its flagship scheme, the government in India offers eligible farmers in the country a subsidy of Rs 6,000 in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 13th PM Kisan instalment on February 27, 2023.

Who can apply for PM Kisan 14th instalment?

The PM Kisan subsidy is transferred to the eligible beneficiaries through a direct benefit transfer mode after validation of the uploaded data. This includes:

  1. Aadhaar authentication (PM Kisan e-KYC)
  2. Validation of bank account and government employees’/pensioners data by the Public Finance Management System
  3. Validation of accounts by the National Payment Corporation of India for Aadhaar-based payments, and
  4. Validation of income tax payee status by the income tax department

Eligible farmers are enrolled, and deceased/ineligible beneficiaries are being removed from the PM Kisan beneficiary list through verification and validation of the beneficiary’s data by states.

PM Kisan eligibility

All landholding farmers’ families that have cultivable landholding in their names are eligible to receive benefits under the PM Kisan scheme. However, the following farmers are not eligible for benefits under the PM Kisan scheme:

a) All institutional land holders

b) Farmer families where one or more of its members belong to the following categories:

  • Present / former ministers/state ministers and present / former members of the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, or state legislative assemblies or state or legislative councils, present / former mayors of municipal corporations and present / former chairpersons of district panchayats.
  • Former and present holders of constitutional posts.
  • All serving or retired officers and employees of central/state government ministries/offices/departments and its field units under central or state PSEs and attached offices/autonomous institutions under government as well as regular employees of local bodies (excluding multi-tasking staff/Class-lV/Group-D employees).
  • All persons who paid income tax in the last assessment year.
  • All retired pensioners
  • Professionals like engineers, doctors, lawyers, chartered accountants and architects.
