The best-known species in Tanjung Puting are the orangutan. The National Park also has the privilege of housing monkeys with ‘Jimmy Durante’ noses. In the park, you can also find clouded leopards, barking deer, sambar deer, wild cattle, civets and Malaysian sun bears. 

The Tanjung Puting is a nest for nearly 230 birds, including deep forest birds, hornbills, etc. It has several species of crocodiles, snakes, frogs and many other endangered species. Here, you can spot the highly endangered dragon fish called ‘arwana’. The national park is considered one of the world’s natural wonders. Your trip to Indonesia would be incomplete without seeing this species. Do not forget to visit Borneo and look at the beautiful and endangered creatures.
