UBER management has confirmed Mr.Dara Khosrowshahi as their firm's new CEO, he has been voted unanimously by the board members which is unexpected. Mr.Khosrowshahi the former CEO of online travel site EXPEDIA, who is going to meet the staff members on wednesday for the first time, hoping he would be the better person to lead Uber into the future.
As his appointment will cut the months of crisis about who would take the position in the troubled firm. He is replacing UBER'S co-founder TRAVIS KALANICK, who resigned couple of months back following investors pressure after months of turmoil.
Dara Khosrowshahi came to America at the age of nine, as their family fled Iran on the eve of Iranian revolution. In 2005 he became the CEO of Expedia, an online travel site which operates in more than 60 countries.
Future plans for Uber
After his appointment Dara Khosrowshahi stated he was aware of the challenges but was interested to work with a transportation redefining company, as these difficulties, these complexities, these challenges what makes him to work with fun. He added that want to build a team and do something that people will look back on with tonnes of satisfaction.
