Regardless of the ransom note used, Rapid Ransomware will always mark the files by using the ‘.rapid’ file extension. For example, the encrypted version of ‘document.doc’ would be renamed to ‘document.doc.rapid’. Despite the promises of the attackers, you can rest assured that sending money to them won’t help you solve the problem at hand. Keep In mind that they provide zero proof that they are capable of decrypting your files, and that’s certainly a valid reason why you should not trust them.

The recommended way to proceed if your data was taken hostage by Rapid Ransomware is to seek 3rd-party file recovery methods.
