Unboxing channels conspiracy?

Before I start - I must apologise for these last 2 days. I wasn't able to publish any posts due to preparation for school and other stuff. (Buying supplies, finishing summer reading and so on.) Now onto the post.

-

As you can tell from the title, the subject of this post will be the very popular toy unboxing/reviewing channels. Before these channels evolved into the ''Elsa VS Spiderman VS Pink Spidergirl" sort of channels, they were still pretty popular (Some of them exist to this day, they create and upload content practically every day and still continue to obtain tons of views, comments and subscribers); that would mean getting at least a million views on every video they upload due to the fact that their main audience is kids, meaning they probably get like 5 views everyday from the same kid, as they usually forget that they watched the video and watch it again. Here are some of the most viewed videos that were uploaded by these channels:

253 Million, 167 Million 142 Million, etc. The amount of views these videos get is just amazing and usually raises these questions: "How?" and "Why?".

Well the answers to the questions are actually pretty simple.

Why? - These videos get so many views because they include kid-friendly content, bright-coloured thumbnails, iconic characters that many kids love and the one thing that all kids love - toys. Some of them include animation, which is another thing that most kids love.

How? - Answer to question #1 applies to this one but just add this 1 thing - soothing, hypnotic voices. If you have ever watched or heard someone watching these videos, you might have noticed that the narrator's voice is usually soothing, no matter if it's a female or a male narrator. They usually talk in this slow, kind of childish voice which really makes the viewer feel a lot more calm than usual, almost as if in a trans or something. I mean I've seen kids watch these videos, they rarely blink and usually can't hear or see anything around them.

Throughout the years, there have been a few articles on these channels/video around the Web, here are a few headlines:

So this basically means that this is a problem that was noticed by quite a few people. (These 4 articles aren't all of them, but these are the first ones that popped up)

Some parents use these video to keep their kids busy while they clean up the house or something like that while some don't even let their kids watch these videos.

But to be honest, I don't think preventing your kids to watch these video will stop the brainwashing/hypnosis since it's basically everywhere; little kid TV shows such as Peppa Pig or Little Einsteins, other kid-friendly channels, including the ''Elsa VS Spiderman VS Pink Spidergirl" sort of videos/channels.

Besides, it doesn't do much harm, I mean the hypnosis doesn't send your kids out to murder people or anything, it just pretty much brainwashes them while you are busy.

-

In conclusion - As much as I am happy that these channels didn't exist before when I was a toddler, I can't say that these aren't helpful, especially to the parents that usually don't have much time on their hands to keep their child entertained while they do the work they're supposed to do. I personally dislike these channels/videos (especially the ones that evolved into the "VS Iconic character" ones, I never even liked them to begin with.
