Massachusetts municipal utility provider sees a more detailed view into their fiber network using TruVizion, ZCorum’s fiber network management tool.
Alpharetta, GA (June 30, 2022) – ZCorum, an industry leader in diagnostics tools and managed services for broadband providers, is now providing Crossroads Fiber with TruVizion, ZCorum’s patented diagnostics application that integrates customer data, network metrics and other key information for Fiber and DOCSIS networks. Crossroads Fiber is the broadband arm of Chicopee Electric Light, the public municipal electric utility of the City of Chicopee, the second-largest city by population in Western Massachusetts.
Prior to signing with ZCorum, the provider had been using diagnostic support tools from another provider, but they had limited visibility and wanted a deeper look into their network, which TruVizion supplied. After showing key staff at Crossroads a demo of TruVizion, it didn’t take long for them to see the benefits of the software.

According to Arthur Skinner, fiber providers can leverage the information in TruVizion for everything from troubleshooting individual end-user devices to ONT issues to improve performance. “Our development team designed the interface so that on a single screen a CSR can quickly see out-of-spec levels, as well as identify potential issues that would point to multiple customers being affected.”
