GgSofts’s TubeMaster++ is a freeware for windows that allows you to Capture Video or Audio files being watched or listened to at YouTube, DailyMotion, MySpace, Google Videos, LastFM, Deezer, Jiwa, and Songza.

Downloading Media files from YouTube, Vimeo, Myspace, Dailymotion and others, as well as encrypted media from “abu-leeching” websites sites such as Imeen, Pandora and Last.fm are easy with Tubemaster Plus Plus (Tubemaster++).

But now the new version is completely re-written in JAVA.

Usually TubeMaster++ makes grabbing streaming videos and music incredibly simple. As long as TubeMaster++ is running, it will grab nearly every kind of media you watch over your internet connection thanks to its ability to scan the incoming data and not rely on the Browser itself. Whether you’re watching a video in Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Opera, as soon as you start watching it, TubeMaster++ will begin capturing it.

You can convert audio formats into WAV, MP3, OGG, and AC3, among others. Video can be converted into dozens of formats and presets for mobile devices including the Creative Zen, iPod, Blackberry, PSP and PS3, various mobile phone sizes, and more universal formats like AVI and MPEG4.

With the inclusion of JAVA, It avoids or circumvents all of the problems/issues that afflicted the previous incarnation including false positives reported by some anti-malware programs, restrictions on some (adult) sites, memory issues, and issues with registry entries and drivers that the program installed and left on the system.

How does TubeMaster++ work?

Once you launch TM++ (it will reside in the system tray), use your browser to navigate to the video or audio that you want to download. TM++ will display a notification and start downloading your media as soon as it starts playing in the browser. You will need to keep the browser window open for the duration of the download in order for TM++ to download your media properly.
