Question: How do I create a Direct link to an image, or file on my website?

Answer:

It may seem like a simple thing, but it’s not entirely obvious how to get the exact link for an image or file on your WordPress website.

Here’s how to do it.

1. Go to Media, Add New in your WordPress backend

2. Upload an image, PDF, or other file

3. Click Edit when the file is done uploading

4. Look on the right, where it says File URL, that is the direct link to the file for sharing

This is the direct URL you can give to people to download or go directly to that file, and will be accessible from anywhere on the web.
