How to capture the screen of your Google Pixel Watch

Do you want to take a screenshot on your Google Pixel Watch and the old trick of pressing two buttons at the same time is not working for you? Logically, the Pixel Watch neither has two physical buttons nor does it behave like a smartphone. To be able to take a screenshot on this clock you must previously activate an option . Also, it is not possible to capture the screen from the smartwatch itself. Google only allows you to take screenshots of the Pixel Watch from the mobile to which you have it linked.

Whether you want to share your health and fitness metrics or show your friends the watchface you’re wearing on your Pixel Watch, here’s the best way to do it by capturing your screen. You will only need to have your mobile handy and at most 5 minutes available to follow the tutorial . Although it may not seem like it, believe us that it is very easy to take screenshots of your Pixel Watch.

Steps to take screenshots on Google Pixel Watch

To get started, you need to enable developer options on the phone that your Pixel Watch is linked to. There are several ways to do it depending on the brand of your smartphone, but generally it’s done like this:

  • Go to the Settings app.
  • Select About phone .
  • Tap 7 times in a row on the Build Number option. On Xiaomi mobiles, you have to press the option that says “MIUI version”.
  • If you have configured your mobile with password, PIN or pattern lock, you will be asked to unlock it to finish activating the developer options.
  • Finally, head back to the Settings home screen and at the bottom of the menu you should see the Developer Options option. Go there and turn on the switch for these options.

Once you have access to the developer options of your mobile, open the Google Pixel Watch application . If you don’t have it yet, download it and pair it with your Pixel Watch following the instructions it tells you.

  • Tap the Capture screen on watch option. It will immediately capture what your Pixel Watch is currently displaying.
  • Now, a notification will appear on your mobile asking where you want to send the screenshot . Yes, you have to send it to your mobile through an app. You can choose Google Photos to upload it to your cloud storage, but you can also send it via a messaging app in case you don’t want to waste space on your cloud.

Clever! The next time you want to take a screenshot of your Pixel Watch, just go to the take screenshot option within your mobile app.
