It all happened on September 19, 2023 when Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman launched the Farmer Loan Portal.

Kisan Rin Portal 2023

The government has taken several steps in the past to make the lives of farmers easy. In yet another step, farmers are given the benefit of subsidized loans through the Kisan Loan Portal.

The portal was originally inaugurated by the Finance and Agriculture Minister on September 19, 2023. Using the Kisan Rin Portal, farmers can easily procure subsidized loans under Kisan Credit Card.

The farmers can use this portal in delivering loans to their homes. The loan amount will be made available under Kisan Credit Card. The loan amount will now be released efficiently under Kisan Credit Card Scheme and will reach them via Kisan Loan Portal.

Kisan Loan Portal 2023 Highlights

Objective of Kisan Rin Portal

The Central Government has launched the Kisan Rin Portal to help them procure subsidized loans. Here farmers can get all the related information including interest rates, loan allocation, and utilization through the Kisan Loan Portal. The portal will be used to deliver loans directly to their homes.

Facilities on the portal

As per the Agriculture Ministry, the Kisan Loan Digital Platform gives you a number of benefits related to Kisan Loan delivery like its features, scheme utilization, interest subvention, and more.

It further promotes seamless integration with eligible banks for the most efficient agricultural lending. At the same time, it also register banks to provide agricultural loans.

Campaign to run from house to house

There will be a door-to-door campaign which will run mainly to increase the benefits of Kisan Credit Card. This will generate a Door to Door KCC campaign in its most efficient form.

It will also cover Weather Information Network Data System Portal in the in Pusa campus. The scheme will benefit farmers in such a way that the beneficiaries of PM Kisan Yojana can be easily linked to Kisan Credit Card.

Further, the government will provide loans and farming related financial services using Kisan Credit Card Scheme. As per the PM Kisan Yojana, a financial aid of Rs 6,000 will be given to all eligible farmers annually.

At the same time, loan will be distributed under Kisan Credit Card Scheme at subsidized rates by the Central Government.

What is Kisan Credit Card?

The Kisan Credit Card Yojana was first launched by the central government so as to provide loans at subsidized rates. The interest rates were 3% to 4%.

Using the loan amount, farmers can purchase agricultural equipment or any other farming tool. The farmers who have Kisan Credit Card will be given a fixed credit limit which can be used for various farming needs.
