The scheme was first launched by the Andhra Pradesh (AP) CM through his initiative Navaratnalu. The core purpose of launching the Amma Vodi scheme is to send poor children to schools.
Also, all such people who can’t afford to live on their own without getting a financial aid will be given a sum of Rs 15,000 annually.
In order to make everything streamlined, Amma Vodi List has been released. As the scheme has already been launched along with a financial aid, it will encourage many students to visit schools.
Objective of Amma Vodi Scheme
The core objective of launching the Amma Vodi portal is to give financial aid to recognized guardian or mother who falls in the category of below poverty line.
The expenses made by the state government of Andhra Pradesh (AP) will be used to educate poor children of the state. Please note that a financial aid will be given to such children irrespective of their religion, creed, and caste.
The above scheme is bound to provide benefits only to those students who are currently studying in private, private aided, government, or residential Schools.

Deadlines for The School
There are a few deadlines assigned for schools to submit their data in the current academic year:
- Strengths more than 300 – 27th November.
- Strengths between 100 to 300 – On the 26th of November
- Strength less than 100 – Before the 25th of November

Amma Vodi Scheme Eligibility
Take a look at the eligibility of Amma Vodi Scheme:
- The concerned student should belong to the poverty line
- You must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh (AP)
- You need to have a valid Aadhar card number
- You should have a white ration card
- A valid PAN card
- You must be studying in a government or private school including residential school from the Academic year 2019-2020
- You must have 75% attendance in the current academic year
- If your parents are working in state government, you won’t be eligible to apply
In case, you don’t carry a white card, you need to contact to your village or ward volunteer who will help you with this. He will also tell you if you are eligible to apply for a white card. All of the above process needs to be completed before November 30, 2019.
