25-year-old Venugopal Aka Muttu was seen on his motorcycle with a tied-up leopard in the back. Upon spotting the captured animal, neighbors assumed he was poaching and reported him to authorities. However, when forest officials caught up to him, they found out he was only trying to help. Venugopal noticed the leopard on his farm in the Hassan District of Karnataka, India . When he came face to face with the big cat he realized it was too exhausted to move, so he brought it back to the village on his motorbike. The forest service officials who got to Muttu, learned of the situation, and sped the leopard off to veterinary care. “The leopard is around nine-month-old and must have strayed into the village seeking food which led to dehydration,” said Ashish Reddy, an official from the Hassan DCF. “Our staff members have given him advice on what needs to be done about noticing wild creatures in the area.” . .
