ChatGPT AI Identifies Jobs That Could Compete Human – Threat to Employments

ChatGPT, unveiled in November, quickly became the fastest-growing user base, breaking records.

Challenger, Gray, and Christmas, an outplacement and executive coaching agency, queried ChatGPT’s bot about what roles it could replace and which sectors it would excel in.

The bot replied that it would likely replace repetitive and predictable language-related tasks like customer service agents, translators, interpreters, technical writers, copywriters, and data entry clerks.

According to the BLS, these areas could replace 4.8 million US employees (BLS).

The AI chatbot also offered data science, machine learning, mathematics, statistics, computer science, robotics and automation, and business.

Andrew Challengerconsidering AI as a replacement for human workers but noted that predictive language models could automate activities, freeing up time for higher-level thinking.

An OpenAI representative stated that the AI system could sometimes create inaccurate but convincing information, but OpenAI’s goal is to enhance occupations using AI, not eliminate them.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT launched in November and surpassed 100 million monthly users in January, breaking records.

Last month, the bot’s latest version, GPT-4, could replicate human conversations based on prompts. Some tech executives praise AI systems for their potential to change sectors with reliable, error-free processing.

However, a nonprofit Future of Life open letter from thousands of industry experts and leaders, including Elon Musk and Steve Wozniak, warns against research on AI programs more potent than GPT-4.

The letter outlines substantial studies on the dangers of human-competitive AI systems to society and humanity. So, humans, be good at your jobs because AI may replace you.
