Samantha Ruth Prabhu is ill. As per sources, she will be taking a 1-year break from her acting pursuits after she is done with her current project. The decision has put her fans and admirers concerned as well as surprised, to say the least. If sources are to be believed, she has been putting aside her ailments for quite some time now while giving her career the utmost priority.

Media sources confirm that the actor has been diagnosed with Myositis for quite some time now and is ready to move away from the limelight for a while to give her health the necessary priority. For those unknown to the idea of Myositis, it is a disease that makes the immune system of the human body attack the muscles causing pain and inflammation to begin with. Prolonged sufferings lead to the weakening of the muscles making the victim feel extremely weak along with severe muscle pain.

However, she braved these physiological challenges for quite a while now and focused on her career. Currently, she has 2 of her ongoing projects on the floor namely, “ Citadel “ and “ Kushi ”, after which she is slated to take about a year’s break from acting to pursue her medical needs. Reports confirm that Samantha Ruth Prabhu is busy shooting the final schedule of “Kushi” alongside the charismatic Vijay Deverakonda. Kushi is said to be released on the OTT platform Amazon Prime somewhere around September 2023 and happens to be the 2nd one where Samantha Ruth Prabhu worked with Vijay Deverakonda.
News and Media sources say that she doesn’t have any plans of signing on new projects while on her break and she has even returned the advance payments to the production house she had signed up for earlier for another project after she is done with her work in “Kushi”.
