APHC leaders express grief over demise of Nisar Hussain Rathar

The All Parties Hurriyet Conference leaders have expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Hurriyat leader and patron of Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami, Nisar Hussain Rathar.

Nisar Hussain Rathar passed away in Srinagar, yesterday.

APHC leaders including Vice Chairman Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Farida Bahenji, Khawaja Firdous, Muhammad Shaif Lone, Muhammad Hizaf, Umarul Islam and Muhammad Hayat in their statements paid rich tributes to the deceased leader saying that he dedicated his entire life to the Kashmiris’ ongoing struggle for right to self-determination. They termed the death of Nisar Hussain Rathar a huge loss for the Kashmir freedom movement.

The leaders said that Nisar Hussain Rathar was imprisoned, tortured and harassed for resisting the Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir but he endured all hardships with great fortitude and remained steadfast till his last breath. They maintained that as a leader of APHC he played an active and vital role for promotion of Kashmir cause and forging the sectarian unity in IIOJK.

The APHC leaders said Nissar Hussain Rathar’s life, struggle, efforts and ideology will continue to guide future generations of Kashmir and his sacrifices and contribution for the Kashmir cause will always be remembered.

They prayed Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to his family to bear this loss with patience.

Many APHC leaders visited the residence of the deceased and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family members.

Meanwhile, Srinagar, senior APHC leader Agha Syed Hassan Al-Mosvi Al-Safvi, Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee in their statement condoled the demise of famous religious personality and Imam of Makhdoom Sahib shrine, Ali Mohammad Makhdoomi.

They said with the death of Makhdoomi, occupied Kashmir has lost a towering personality. They said, he was a pious soul and religious scholar whose guidance has left an indelible mark on countless lives. They prayed for the departed soul and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family.
