The war in Ukraine has dealt a severe blow to the Indian Air Force and the Russian supply of the army has been severely affected.

Russia has informed India in writing that the delivery of the remaining two regiments of the S-400 Triumf air defence system cannot be completed as per the schedule.

India and Russia are trying to reach an agreement on the payment method so as not to violate the US sanctions, which has also affected the supply of military hardware between the two countries.

Russians want payment in dollars which India is unable to do due to fear of US sanctions. Russia, on the other hand, is unwilling to accept payments in rupees due to concerns about exchange rate fluctuations.

According to Indian media, the war in Ukraine has had a severe impact on Russia’s ability to supply weapons and important military equipment to India. The reports said the Indian Air Force has been the most affected by the current situation.

Indian defence officials said that despite the delay, the operational readiness of the armed forces has not been affected.

Reports said that the delay in supply is due to the ongoing war, which has affected Russia’s production capacity.
