Karavan Saray - Exciting Journey into Kazakh History`

The Karavan Saray complex, which cost close to 200 million dollars to build, was just finished in Turkistan's capital, and an airport was also built. Visitors from Kazakhstan and all over the world are always welcome at this magnificent facility.

Everyone travelling to the nomads' homeland must visit Karavan Saray, the newest attraction in South Kazakhstan. The winter in Kazakhstan might vary depending on where you are. When the weather is nice, visiting South Kazakhstan could be enjoyable and interesting. The structure known as "Karavan Saray" was constructed to house commercially movable groups.

Several Karavan Sarays were originally built alongside roadways or in other sparsely populated locations in the Middle East and Central Asia as rest stops for traders. The Karavan Saray was constructed as a brand-new tourist destination for people visiting Turkistan who want to learn more about Kazakhstan's history, culture, and cuisine.

Turkestan development
The city of Turkistan has drawn considerable attention since then-Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the decree in June 2018 establishing the new Turkistan region and choosing the city as its administrative capital. Turkestan's top attraction is Karavan Saray.

"Turkistan is referred to be both the fatherland and the motherland by all Turkic people. It is well known that our ancestors received spiritual instruction from the great teacher Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, who later spread Turkic Islamic culture throughout the world.

On the initiative of the first president Nursultan Nazarbayev, the city of Turkistan has undergone a significant makeover and acquired a new image "During the Informal Summit of the Turkic Council on March 31, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made this statement.

The city debuted a brand-new sports arena, two hotels run by large global chains, a convention Centre, and an international airport in 2020. Residents could now fly from this airport to destinations like Nur-Sultan, Almaty, and Istanbul, among others. Turkistan has long been considered a holy area because of its innumerable mausoleums and spiritual locations.

Economic development
According to projections, Karavan Saray's gross regional product will increase by 25% from 2018 to two trillion Tenge (US$4.6 billion) in 2020.

The industrial output of 535.2 billion tenge ($1.2 billion) increased by 81.4 billion tenge ($187.6 million) or 18% from the previous year.

In addition, 14 projects worth 8.6 billion tenge (US$19.8 million) and 1,620 jobs were launched last year.

Presently, 3,184 employments and 49 projects for a combined 41 billion tenge (about $94.5 million) are scheduled to begin. To reach $212.5 million, the value of agricultural exports climbed by 64.4 percent.

The region's economy received investments of 703.3 billion tenge ($1.62 billion) in 2020, of which 112.4 billion tenge ($259 million) originated from outside the region. Investments increased by 2.4 times in comparison to 2018, and growth is predicted to continue.

Small and medium sized businesses

Small and medium-sized enterprises are expanding in Karavan Saray. The expansion of small and medium-sized companies has, in the opinion of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, been a national goal. In the Turkistan region, there are 140,600 SMEs that employ 218,000 people, or 27% of the area's economically active population.

Between January and September 2020, the businesses produced products and services worth 554.4 billion tenges ($1.28 billion). The nation's Economy of Simple Things programme was successful in this regard as well. The purpose of the programme is to support businesses that meet the population's primary daily requirements for goods and services.

287 projects totaling 29 billion tenge (US$66.8 million) in funding were supported by the initiative throughout the region. Businesses will benefit from the country's Business Road Map 2025's budget increase of 23% to 2.9 billion tenge ($6.68 million).

On the grounds of the complex, there is a building with a roof that resembles a golden egg. A historical tour of Kazakhstan is offered by this flying theatre. In flying theatre, the mythical bird Samruk from the Kazakh epics is praised.

The entire globe, according to the myth, resembled a massive tree with its roots firmly planted in the Earth and its summit holding the sky. The bird Samruk put the golden egg, which served as the world's sun, in the nest of the crown.
