Must-Haves For Your Night Skin Routine!

Your nighttime skincare routine plays a vital part in your overall skin’s health, and you cannot afford to take any chances with the wrong products.

Here are a few must-haves for your night skin routine; follow these steps to get radiant skin!

Take off Your Makeup
Before you jump on to any other step, make sure that you have completely rid your face of any makeup you have on. You can skip this step if you are starting with a bare face.

It is a sin to just clean off your makeup with a cleanser because it does not remove every particle completely and it ends up getting trapped under your skin and causes acne and inflammation.

The best way to cleanse your face is to pair up your cleanser with a good makeup remover. My favorite and a total must-have makeup remover is the BioDerma Sensibio H2O. This micellar solution is a well-kept secret to glowy skin and an amazing ingredient to your night skin routine.

Cleanse Properly
With the makeup remover, using a gentle cleanser is a good idea. It doesn’t strip your skin of natural oils and avoids irritating your skin. The best drugstore cleanser for this step is the CeraVe hydrating face cleanser.

The formula is very gentle and it leaves your skin feeling super soft and hydrated.

You can also try the IS Clinical Cleansing complex; it works quite amazingly for most skin types but is relatively pricey compared to the CeraVe cleanser.

Exfoliate and Mask
This is a step that I usually follow because my skin cracks a lot and at the end of the day, there are just a lot of dead skin cells resting peacefully on my face, and I absolutely hate it.

There is one exfoliator that I absolutely cherish and I would highly recommend you add it to your night skin routine.

The Yeouth Glycolic Acid 30% Gel Peel is a great product for all skin types and it works quite well for me. However, I would recommend using it only 1-3 times a week because any exfoliator, if used more, can cause irritation to the skin.

You can also use a mask instead of an exfoliator to renew the skin. For some people, masks work better as they’re not that harsh. This Prince Charcoal detox mask is a must-have product for your night skincare because it gives you smooth skin, due to its purifying properties. It also uses glycolic acid to gently exfoliate.

Tone your skin
Toner is yet another vital step for your skincare routine because it calms down the skin and cleanses it thoroughly. It also reduces the prominent pores and lets your other skin products absorb into your skin properly.

For oily acne-prone skin like mine, I would recommend using a toner with tea tree oil. I use the Body Shop’s tea tree Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner which works wonders for me.

For combo or dry skin, use the Rose and Shine Rose water toner for the best results!

Treatments
This is when you would use all the serums and treatment products. The Ordinary’s Niacinamide is a must-have for your night skin routine. It renews the skin and gives it a plumper and brighter look!

Moisturize
Always moisturize after you use your treatment serums, and I can’t stress this enough. Cetaphil’s Facial Hydrating lotion is the perfect moisturizer because it contains Hyaluronic acid which retains the moisture in your skin, giving it a fresh look.

Eye Cream
Lastly, use an eye cream to finish off your routine. Peptide formulas are good for under the eyes because it hydrates the skin and freshens it up.

Skin Laundry wrinkle release eye cream is the best one on the market yet!
